willie Mc Loud
Dr Willie Mc Loud is an independent South African scholar with a wide field of interest spanning ancient Middle Eastern studies, Kantian philosophy and philosophy of science. He has got a PhD in Nuclear Physics (Nuclear Fusion), a MSc in Physics, a MA in Philosophy of Science, an Honours degree in Philosophical Hermeneutics and an MBL. He is an innovative thinker and researcher who has produced new and original work in various fields, including a new interpretation of the philosophy of Immanuel Kant, a new Kantian interpretation of Quantum Physics (among other things, providing a solution for the well known measurement problem) and a new ancient Middle Eastern chronological model, all of which had been published in peer review journals.
Dr Mc Loud is also the author of seven books, among which Abraham en sy God (Griffel, 2012). Recent academic publications include “A new ancient Middle Eastern chronological model” (Journal for Semitics 2019/2) and the monograph “Kant, Noumena and Quantum Physics” (94 pages, in Contemporary Studies in Kantian Philosophy 3). During 2011-2018 he wrote about 120 essays on themes such as “Science, Philosophy and God”, “Can we still believe the Bible?” and “Origins in the Book of Genesis” on the blog Life in the Universe (wmcloud.blogspot.com). He is also a regular contributor to the popular online journal Ancient Origins.
As part of his research and writing projects, he has led many research tours to the Middle East, visiting countries such as Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Bahrain, Armenia, Georgia and so on. He has served the Lord in many capacities in a ministry stretching back over more than 40 years, both in South Africa and in Europe. He currently lives with his wife Marthé in the Strand, near Cape Town.
